Aerobics classes
Squash City offers you the most extensive aerobics program in Amsterdam! You can choose from a broad and varied selection of lessons. Should you have specific wishes but are unsure which lessons to take, let one of our instructors advise you. They will show you which lessons are most suited to you and your personal needs. If you like, you can leave your telephone number at the Squash City reception. Then one of our instructors will call you to make an appointment. Together you'll decide what lessons offer the best match between your wishes and your training goals.
The group lessons at Squash City are divided into several categories. They are, among others:
Power and Endurance Training
- Pump-fit
Done in small groups and using barbells in combination with varying weights, pump-fit is the ideal all-body workout. Ideal for improving muscle mass, muscle tone, posture, condition and co-ordination. Pump-fit is a stimulating way to an effective work-out!
- Bodyshape
Bodyshape is an effective aerobics program and focuses on improvement of the figure. Specific exercises are given to increase and enhance muscle strength and muscle endurance. The focus is mainly on the stomach, legs, buttocks, and chest/shoulder muscles. Note: during this lesson you will burn less fat then in some of the other lessons!
- Dance
Dance lessons are cardio workouts during which basic aerobics movements and the high/low impact combinations are applied in a creative fashion. These lessons are more creative and are focused even more on co-ordination, balance and flexibility.
- Pilates
Pilates is a unique trainings method with emphasis on correct breathing, balance & control. Pilates is ideal for men and women of all ages and all levels of fitness.
- Power Yoga
A true benefit for body and mind and a perfect balance between exertion and relaxation. Using calm music, eastern relaxation techniques are combined with Western stretch and stability exercises. Goal: to achieve the right balance between body and soul and the reduction of daily stress.
Note: All visitors to Squash City, whether you have a membership or not, are required to first check-in at reception!
