Fitness at Squash City is more than just exercising! Whether you are here to improve your condition, lose weight, build up your muscles or recover from injury, our qualified instructors are standing by to help you! Moreover, our fitness room has a unique, laid-back atmosphere that makes everyone feel at ease.

Facilities

Our modern fitness centre, approximately 400 m2 in size, is spread across two floors and fully air-conditioned. You´ll work out on the latest and most advanced equipment. In addition to an extensive range of fitness equipment, supplemented with a wide selection of loose weights and dumb-bells, Squash City also offers a large number of Life Fitness cardio equipment, including treadmills, steps, bicycles, cross-trainers and Concept2 rowing machines. To help with your motivation, all cardio equipment is furnished with cardio theatres, which enables you to receive sound from 8 TV channels, 2 radio channels and a CD. Remember to bring your headphones, or you can buy them from reception for a nominal fee.

Are you exercising with us for the first time?

All new members are eligible for 2 instruction appointments with our trained instructors – Free of charge! During the 1st appointment, we check your blood pressure, weight and percentage of body fat. We also conduct a fitness test, during which we measure your VO2 max (maximum oxygen uptake). Based on the results, we develop a training programme for use on the cardio equipment. During the 2nd appointment, we put together a programme for weights and explain how to use the relevant fitness equipment. This schedule is entirely geared to your own goals and wishes. Every 6 to 12 weeks, you are welcome to make a new appointment to update your programme and undergo new tests so that we can monitor your progress and adapt your programme. This too is entirely free of any extra charge.

Vital system

The Vital System provides a bit of additional supervision and therefore also more motivation. In addition to the standard 1st and 2nd appointments, you will also schedule a monthly appointment with an instructor, with whom you will determine the goal for the next appointment. During the 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th en 12th appointments, you will undergo a fitness test so that we can assess your initial fitness level, after which we will measure your results in interim periods and adapt your programme, so that it will be possible for you to achieve your goals. This enables us to establish your final fitness level and determine whether you have managed to achieve your goals. During the other appointments throughout the year, we´ll check your programme and change your training schedule so that your body receives new stimuli every month, which is necessary to prevent stagnation.

Personal Training

Personal Training is the most effective form of training. You will be supervised and trained for one hour by your permanent trainer on a one-to-one basis. He or she will take into account the condition you are in on a given day so that you exercise as effectively as possible during each training session and get the most out of yourself.
